The logo takes its inspiration from the City of Verona, placing its iconic monument, the Arena, at the centre.

The Arena, in a stylised form, is the core of the symbol of this international event, enclosed in the colours of the Italian national flag.

"A brandmark telling the world about Verona," said the Italian Speaker, President Fontana, adding: "The meeting of the Speakers of the Lower Houses of the G7 will provide an opportunity for frank debate on issues of global significance, and we also want it to be an opportunity for the city of Verona, which is a city of international stature. Recounting the history of Verona means acquainting the world with a major fragment of Italy's heritage."

 

The amphitheatre, coloured blue, is surmounted by the G7 wording in yellow, evoking the colours of the city of Verona. The logo is completed with the dates of the event and the English title of the Speakers' meeting, which has now reached its 22^nd year.

It has been designed to project the image of the city directly into the G7 context, while giving prominence to the locality through its symbolic monument, which is one of the most iconic Italian monuments known worldwide. It pays tribute to the historical, artistic and architectural importance of Verona, which will be hosting the meeting.
